So Danny and I try to be healthy people and realize that some days we don't get a chance to eat greens or fresh fruits for so many reasons. I hate that feeling at the end of the day when I realize that I didn't eat anything green at all :( So in order to prevent these bad feelings, we decided to purchase a Vitamin back in April of this year! (note: we got it on sale btw and with a gift card to Sur La Table because yes they are so expensivvvvvvve right?!)
Since we purchased it we started trying different smoothies and we found our favorite recipe! We love it so much that we make it every single morning after our coffee routine!
We add a handful of fresh spinach leaves, 2 cups of water, 1 lime, about a cup of fresh/frozen pineapple and 1 cup fresh/frozen mango and sometimes we add half an orange or a green apple! AND OH MY STARSSSS it tastes so amazing! Also I hate kale because I'm not cool (yeah I also hat kale chips) BUT I did try a little mixed in with the spinach and it was so transparent I didn't even taste it! Maybe next year I will ease up to kale. Maybe. Anyways, it comes out looking green and it makes me feel like a true responsible adult :)
